Not a very positive experience ...

Not a very positive experience with this company. I hired them for my move from MD to DC. As other Yelpers stated I had a problem with my billing. I ended up spending far more than I originally anticipated based upon my conversation with the scheduler Jordan. First the movers were 45 minutes to an hour late. I already had a late appointment time as the original time discussed was no longer available. I was told that they wouldn't be taking anything off because I was already getting a 5% discount for being a referral. Me being referred by someone does not compensate for them being late..... That 5% referral discount was offered to me when I originally booked. But whatever, I had no time to argue because as I mentioned we were already starting late. The mover "handling the business" was not apologetic and was pretty much like oh well the move before you took longer. No apologies or anything. Then the "transportation fee" as explained by Jordan (whom I asked very specific questions about the fee) was incorrect. He said it included the time transporting my items. I asked straight up does the time stop and start once the truck is packed and then unpacked. He said yes transporting the items is included in the transportation fee. NOT correct! Apparently, that fee is only for them to get to you and leave your final destination. It DOES NOT include the time in transit to your moving location. stay away from this company. They are very unprofessional Movers however Jordan was great! The movers came two hours late with a very small truck to move a 4 bedroom house. They cancelled my move in the middle of putting items on the truck and left them on the curb until I had to get very ugly (and I did get ugly. They left boxes everywhere they left my dresser in the middle of my floor and my bed on the wall. I hate these people and I would never recommend them to no one!!!! Please don't hire these guys; I don't care what the price is. I'm only rating a 1 star due to Jordan his customer services

Jordan and his helper were great guys, pleasant, friendly and warm. This was a very hard move for me emotionally. Their smiles made it easier.
Everything went according to schedule and we arrived as predicted with no damage or loss to any of my things. I would use this company again in a heartbeat! -

Local movers team did an excellent job arriving on time, packaging and transporting my furniture with care and were friendly and courteous. Highly recommended!
